Viviane and Kimberley create by long-form improvisation. Watch them find interactions between each other, found objects and the architecture of their new venue as they delve into the domestic as surreal visual poem. The artists are investigating the meeting of Viviane’s concern for visual storytelling and Kimberly’s interest in devising through emergent choreography.

Kimberley McIntyre is an independent artist living in Northern NSW. Her main interests are emergent choreography, Contact Improvisation and collaboratively devising new work with other like-minded artists. Most recently she was a choreographer and performer for Inherit the Wind a site specific performance culminating after a 12-week creation process with participants for Bleach Festival, Gold Coast.

Viviane Frehner is Swiss born and graduated from Amsterdam Art School in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in contemporary dance. After many years with Nanine Linning Dance Company in Germany and freelancing in Europe, she moved to Northern NSW in 2014, where she has been dancing, choreographing and directing for numerous dance projects. She also is the producer of her own short dance film GOGI which is premiering at national and international film festivals this year. Check out CTF’s interview with Viviane.

Barry Hill is an innovative eclectic Australian musician, music producer and sound scape artist. As a bassist/ guitarist/ percussionist, Barry has performed with some of Australia’s premier Jazz, Folk and Electronic Musicians including The Bird and Dha. He has composed and performed live music scores with theatre and dance companies both in Australia and overseas.
