Love in SPACE

Saturday 29 September , 4.00pm – 4.30pm

Watt Space Gallery 20 Auckland St, Newcastle NSW 2300, Australia

“Time expands
Contracts
Ejaculates stars that
are born and die
carnal lifetimes
all sorts of dimensions
racing in and out of our timelines”

Love in SPACE is a sci-fi spoken word epic. It’s the story of two lovers travelling from galaxy to galaxy exploring themselves, the universe, and all the strange and dangerous things in it; alien art collectives, sex in dimensional vortexes, lazer guns and the end of creation itself. Featuring an enigmatic soundscape and psychedelic video projections, Love in SPACE pushes spoken word poetry to its wild, theatrical and colourful extremes. Written and performed by Perth’s performance poetry maverick Laundry Man with a soundtrack by Robin Woodward from WA band More Options.

“and I’m so in love with your footprints in the stardust
I can follow them back to the poem you’re from”
