MARS: An Interplanetary Cabaret

Saturday 29 September , 7.00pm – 7.45pm

Watt Space Gallery 20 Auckland St, Newcastle NSW 2300, Australia

Zorble! Tingee-bop! Scree!

Three sleazy Martians crash to Earth searching for five hot babes to take back home. Luckily, Earth’s best Space Cops, Carol and Sophia, are on the job! Together, they go undercover to catch the Martians and stop them in their tracks. Barely evading capture, the aliens discover that modern dating on Earth is a bit more complex than they thought.

Will the Space Cops catch the Martians in time before Earth it’s too late? Will the runt of the litter, Omega, ever find his place in the universe? And how do aliens have such a good grasp of modern jazz music?

Inspired by terrible sci-fi films of the 1960s, MARS is an all-new alienoid cabaret devised by NIDA alums Andrew McInnes and Ang Collins, original songs by Chelsea Needham, and set and costumes by Lucy McCullough!
