Gabriela Green Olea

Gabriela is a socially engaged dance artist. She is of a Chilean refugee family who fled the Pinochet dictatorship in 1974. This heritage informs the political framework of Gabriela’s work which responds to the ideas of cross-cultural identity and the transitional space of belonging to community and place. Gabriela graduated from the VCA in 2014 and is a Create NSW Young Regional Artist Scholarship Recipient.
