Rebekah is a Western Sydney based, Caribbean-Australian artist, working as a writer for performance, across dramaturgy and as an actor. She is a founding member and writer with award winning screen collective Afro Sistahs, is an alumni of the New Negress Film Society and Black! Woman! Screen symposium and trained in theatre making at the VCA, The University of Melbourne. As a dramaturg or writer her work has been shown at Arts House, Crack Theatre Festival, Belvoir 25a and Griffin Theatre Company’s Batch Festival – among others. She combines a rigorous devising-based process and socio-political framework to offer tangible, informed provocations to theatremakers she dramaturgs.
