Located in Sydney, Simone Sheridan is a curator, creative producer, placemaker and artist with a focus on artist-run initiatives, DIY projects, temporary urbanism and empty spaces.
Simone is a keen advocate for the arts and placemaking, with a particular interest in building meaningful collaborations between artists and businesses. She is an experienced speaker on placemaking, public art and street art.
Simone hosted Australia’s first Failure:Lab event as a contributor to Vivid Ideas 2016. Since March 2017 Simone has been advocating to protect The Regent Theatre in Mudgee NSW, her home town founding a blog and social media platforms to Revive The Regent. Revive The Regent was awarded the Advocacy Award at the National Trust Heritage Awards in May 2019. Revive The Regent Theatre Mudgee Inc. was formed in June 2019 as a response to a vote a public community meeting.
