Tom Matthews is a physical performer with experience and training in acting, circus, physical theatre, and dance. In 2013 Tom started a Bachelor of Communications (Theatre Media) at Charles Sturt University, and it was during his studies in Bathurst that he gained interest in physical theatre and circus performance. While studying Tom had the opportunity to perform with renowned companies such as Stalker Physical Theatre Company and Patch Theatre Company, and performed at the circus festival Catapult.
Since graduating in 2015, Tom has continued training in circus with tutors from Legs On The Wall, Circa, and Gravity And Other Myths as well as developing his acting skills with teachers Kevin Jackson and Anthony Skuze.
Tom’s performance credits include The Chapel Perilous (New Theatre), Please Consider Our Neighbours (Brown Paper Circus), and Crackers (Bite Productions) at Sydney Fringe Festival 2017.
